I went to a rubbish poet's forum at Gower Street. Shiv revealed her book. Visited Bath, will go to Spain from 19th to 25th September. I'll be 23 on the 18th!
Bath this weekend was wild, since I stayed in bath backpackers hostel for 3 nights, and experienced the city from the traveller's eye. Malcolm and I had a banquet at a Lebanese restaurant and had a Saturday hailstoning with beer/people/conversation. Things came to their own on Sunday night when I hedged a risk taking 4 girls (2 Aussie and 2 Canadians) out to pubs and pool. It began sane enough in the Boater where they bought underage people drinks and had a sing along on the table tops, whence we left to see Neil for a pub quiz. It was Sunday night quiz, and stiff upper lips were out in force, and the girls could've danced on the bar - they were so nuts - so we walked out (err.. duh) and went to the seedier Hat & Feather. The guys were giving them looks there, so they took the arm of yours truly (all of them) and we walked out again ... to the porter cellar bar, a bohemian resort that sits above the music venue. The Aussies had their favourite organic ciders, which they'd been pumping since the afternoon, while the Canadians gave their grace by showing signs of desperado after just 2 pints. These girls were lovely, honest. We began playing Have you ever ...? which was a right education for me since they were a few years older and more experienced. Two of them had foursomes, and they all found kissing another girl very sexy. At each round the heads turned my way and chuckled, so I played in with the honest truth - yes, kiss each other now ... that's so hot!! We returned to the hospital for a fiesta in the common room while watching some horror movie about a village of damned (blonde) kids whose eyes go white, blue and red, in that order and they kill everyone as a group .. brr. After a heated joke session, which was very sharp with Aussies; I headed upstairs for a slumber party in a dorm, where the girls called Malcolm for half an hour. They girlyed around before settling down into bed. I headed back to my room, with a smile inside my stomach, where the cider was. It was a lovely evening. Hang on, do I sound like a girl ..? Sorry, but they made me watch tonnes of Will and Grace. I was like an experiment that didn't break, but did wonders for my soul.
I'm back in London, and picked up Madrid tickets at Heathrow today. What calls now is the next glorious adventure in Barcelona and Madrid. I won't weblog this trip since I don't want to know computers for a week, thats the whole idea! After I return, us graduate trainees ascend North to Runcorn in Cheshire to spend weeks on company training, expenses paid. I look forward to a professional day followed by a casual evening followed by either rowdy or wholesome chat, followed by sleeping on those lush hotel pillows. From the sounds of it, my generation at this company are a diggable bunch, we've been introducing one another with musician skills being majorly important!
I will be 23 on the 18th, and I'd like to wish Andy a happy birthday! Thanks for coming out this weekend Andy! Congratulations in force to GaZ (and his manager Hanne) for landing a job in Birmingham! Thanks to Shiv for publishing me in her book, it's the most important honour I've had in writing. I'll stay in Madrid with Princess and then 3 weeks training.
